Is your product
getting harder
to beat?
Or just faster
to build?
Good discovery. Faster delivery. AI on full throttle.
None of it guarantees a more competitive product.
I’m Jussi Mäkelä. I work with product and technology leaders on the qualities that make the whole product competitive — and what their organisations must change to improve them.
Vision.
Intuition.
Taste.
Of course they matter.
But a great product shouldn’t depend on somebody having an inspired Tuesday.
How do you make
excellence repeatable?
The whole product
is what competes.
Great features won’t rescue painful adoption, expensive integrations or economics that don’t work.
You can optimise the parts and still lose as a whole.
Engineering is
not a department.
The qualities that make a product competitive don’t respect your org chart.
Improving them takes deliberate choices and changes across the organisation, not just excellent work in separate functions.
The point isn’t to make your organisation better at doing product development.
It’s to make it better at developing competitive products.
Competitive business performance is too consequential to leave as an accidental byproduct of otherwise excellent work.
